RE the advertising banner.
It depends on what site you’re advertising, and where on it.
Quite a few sizes are actually needed, as it would use one for a desktop display, and another for mobile display etc.

If the advert is placed on the website, in an area that requires a certain banner size that we don’t have, it would just show an ugly white box with boring text in.
